Christmas around the world...

Depending on where you live Christmas is very different. In Britain we celebrate Christmas by putting up a tree, decorating it, putting presents under it, unwrapping them on Christmas day, eating Christmas dinner with Christmas pudding afterwards. It's the same in lots of places.
France
In France the official festive season  starts on the 6th of December. People in France enjoy their big Christmas meal on the 24th pf December. Santa to them is Pere Noel.If children are bad they are visited by the Bogeyman, or as the French call him Le Pere Fouettard. This evil man is to be feared and if you are bad he will visit you and whip you.
Japan
In Japan Christmas is more of a time to celebrate happiness than a religious celebration. They celebrate the 24th of December (Christmas Eve) more than Christmas day. Christmas Eve is a romantic day where they exchange presents with their couples. Fried chicken is often eaten on Christmas day.
Spain
In Spain they eat their Christmas meal on Christmas Eve which is usually turkey stuffed with truffles.
They also like to eat seafood. People walk through the streets carrying torches, playing guitars and beating on tambourines and drums.
South Africa
Because South Africa is in the Northern Hemisphere Christmas is in the summer. The schools are closed for the Christmas holidays and loads of people like to go camping. The children leave Christmas stockings out so Santa can fill them.

That's all for today, hope you enjoyed :)
Lots of Love,
